The International Conference on Mycorrhiza (ICOM), the official IMS meeting, connects members with global advancements.
Your participation at ICOM strengthens IMS’s impact on basic research along with agriculture, horticulture, and forestry. We’re thrilled to announce that the 13th conference (ICOM2026) will take place in Australia (July 12-17 2026). Mark your calendars and get ready to join us for another exciting gathering of the global mycorrhiza community. We can’t wait to see you there!
Upcoming Board elections
Nominations for the upcoming IMS Board elections are now closed. We are pleased to present the profiles of the candidates standing for election at ICOM2026.
IMS members will elect one Vice-President and one Communications Director during ICOM2026. Candidate profiles are listed below by position. The election will take place by poll during the conference, and the results will be announced during the IMS annual meeting following ICOM2026.
We encourage all IMS members to review the candidate profiles carefully and take part in the election.
Vice-President: The Vice-President supports the President in their activities. The time as Vice-President serves as a training ground for learning the tasks and responsibilities of the President. As a result, the two positions are intended to work in close collaboration. The Vice-President serves for two years leading directly to the President for another two years, and to Past-President for a final two years.
Communications Director: The Communications Director is responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing the communication channels of the IMS to ensure accurate, inclusive, and objective dissemination of information related to mycorrhizal science and society activities. The Communications Director serves for four years.
