In this issue, we are excited to introduce the new association president, Justine Karst. She is the new President of our society as of August 9, 2024. Let’s briefly introduce her work and take a look at her vision for the future.

The first place article was published by Sir David Read and co-authors in New Phytologist, showing direct photosynthate transfer from an autotrophic orchid to conspecific heterotrophic protocorms through a common mycorrhizal network.
