ICOM4

The Organizing Committee is very pleased to welcome you to Montreal for the Fourth International Conference on Mycorrhizae (ICOM4) held jointly with the Canadian Society of Agronomy (CSA) and the Canadian Society of Soil Science (CSSS). Members of Canada’s dynamic scientific community lead, or collaborate in, a number of nationally and internationally important research and development projects in the field of plant and soil science. Canada’s involvement in mycorrhizal research is supported by the fact that the North American Conference on Mycorrhiza was held twice in Canada (Québec City (Québec) in 1981 and Guelph (Ontario) in 1996). Furthermore, since 1993, eastern Canadian scientists and students working on mycorrhizal fungi have met at annual workshops, and in 2002, in preparation for ICOM4, a pan-Canadian Mycorrhizal Symposium was held in Québec.
